It seems to me that the only thing that is truly mine is my body. Looking at it not as something magical, super powerful but actually quite the opposite… Vulnerable, constantly in battle, regularly in pain and shifting in and out of balance. As a resistance to the state to so wildly preached myth about normality. Embracing the vulnerability that is coded in my appearance, therefore projected onto me by others as a small female body I came up with the performance named Sick Woman Practice, dedicated to Johana Hedva and my friend Pancha, with whom we often talked about automatism in the way we see and relate to people.

„You said Quick march, we did a quick waltz “
In a Lithuanian fairy tale to get what you most desire (invariably your 9 brothers), you have to go through the darkest woods to find magic; to call the winds, the birds and the clouds for answers and help but in real life, all we're left with is marching.
On day one, our research began with the question: why do we march?
Drawing from techno marching in Berlin raves, marching in student protests in Chile for a better education and being forced to march in parades demonstrating the power of the Soviet Union; by day four we ourselves felt condemned to march.
In this work we look for spontaneity, accidents and permission to fail within the structure of a march. We invite you to walk through a sketch of an installation in which the research process itself (including the mistakes) is there for you to experience.
Would you give your magic beans to stop climate change? Your right index finger? Your new born baby?

FIRST TO BLINK by Noi Ansamble
This is apiece of work from the Noi Ansamble but that's not the point. And there isn't enough time to avoid it. That being, the issue. The issue is: there's something that needs to be dealt with. And it needs to be dealt with now. ASAP! In the most efficient way possible. Why? Because time could be running out.
What the Ansamble are doing right now is probably not the best course of action. It could be but it probably isn't. Either way the issue is still a problem. A problem that needs to be dealt with.
Try doing that faster with a hot potato in your mouth.
It'll be good for you.
But maybe they're doing the best they can given the circumstances. And what are the circumstances? Their faces are masked by your reflection. Their voices are inaudible. But they keep on going. Searching for solutions, listening to advice, trying to improve.
Love yourself. Place one hand on your belly and sync the mantra with your breath. Let any distracting thoughts float by like clouds.
It's good for you.
NOI ANSAMBLE PRESENT A WORLD THAT IS NOT A DYSTOPIA. NEITHER IS IT A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT HOMOSAPIENS. NOR IS IT ABOUT NAVIGATING YOUR WAY THROUGH A WASTELAND OF SELF HELP YOUTUBE VIDEOS. NOR DOES THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY. NOR IS THIS 2019. NOR IS IT ABOUT IDENTITY OR PURPOSELESSNESS
